![]() What color/favor damage type do you want to kill your enemies with? with or without Torps/Mines?Īre you wanting small craft to do the heavy "lifting" in combat for you? What weapon types are you interested Beams or Cannons. What playstyle do you see yourself using? I believe rewording your line of questioning should yield you more of the answers you seek.įirst off, a ship is more like the "framework" that holds the piece of "Art" (Player Build) so that your enemies can See, Fear and then Die from it's glaring Pew-Pew, Boom Boom long time. "What's the best "X" or "Y" ship or weapon damage type?" has always been and will be until the end of times a question(s) which the "answer" to is very very "Subjective". They don't reset unless you are destroyed and your allies are no longer in range (> 10KM), or you are cloaked too long and your allies are no longer in range. In the updated missions, you get allies who work besides you (K'Men, Kahless, Kagren.), so even when cloaked, they will keep the enemies from dropping out of red alert so you can cloak in the middle of a fight and position yourself. ![]() ![]() Wouldnt the enemy "reset" if you cloak in the middle of a fight? I plan to use energy weapon type when i find a ship. Typically taking on a hard target is just that, it takes a while to take out, but with the experimental weapon, battle cloak, ambush buff, cannons, boff abilities going and ready to fire on the backside of a hard target, decloak and watch it melt in less than a second! Okey, that is nice to know thanks. It also has a hangar, which some of the others listed do not.Originally posted by Xautos:that t6 ship that you are rewarded after assassinating the second target on the KDF recruitment is actually a pretty good starting point once you arm it correctly and have the right boffs in place. all else being equal, that would make the damage output a little higher. The Legendary Intrepid, being a Miracle Worker spec ship, gets an extra universal console slot, which will take anything, so you can stick in an extra science console. It's not all just about the BOFF seating. I shouldn't have said "All the low-tier ships", sorry. Scitorp is usually Command (due to Concentrate Firepower), so you'll want the Titan or something with Command seating. ![]() Verne is probably the best sci ship, with the Eternal being a close second. You'd want to use the Commander seating for throwing out anomalies, making the Commander station irrelevant compared to the Verne's Temporal seating. The Verne Temporal Science Vessel, the Risian Weather Control ship, (last year's summer event) the standard "Pathfinder" T6 Intrepid, the Scryer, and a few others are comparable to each other at the next level down. There's still a couple (T1 Connie, T4 Intrepid, T4 Defiant) that are available for zen ONLY as part of a bundle.Īs for the original poster's question, my suggestion would be, if possible, the Legendary Intrepid, though it does not (to my knowledge) have the TOS aesthetic, it is, I believe, the highest-output science ship around. All the low-tier ships are only available for Dilithium now.Ĭorrect, with a couple of exceptions, all of the T1-T4 ships were removed from zen store a few months ago.
